德国公司寻找合作伙伴共同开发用于牙科诊断的床边检测系统

德国一家生物科技公司正在开发一种牙科器械,能够识别和量化口腔疾病的细菌。系统使医生能够对牙周致病菌进行床边检测,节约时间和成本。现在公司正寻找合作伙伴共同开发此系统的新应用。

 公司目前与一家微电子机械系统专业公司合作研发牙科诊所的床边检测系统。新型系统基于实时PCR,能够在牙科诊所对牙周致病菌进行快速(时间短于一个小时)高灵敏度(小于一百个细胞)的诊断,同时适用于初次就诊的病人。床边检测系统的优点显而易见:医生能在几分钟内获得检验结果,开始针对病人情况开始具体治疗。病人无需进行二次就诊。

 这项床边检测系统具有多样化的特点,尤其适用于各种病毒性疾病(如艾滋病、肝炎、流感),医院感染(如金黄色葡萄球菌感染、艰难梭菌感染)和妇科感染(如衣原体感染)的快速高灵敏度检验。

 创新方面:

Technical modification of a point of care (POC) testing system for dental diagnostics to other medical applications (09 DE 0855 3EZL)

 A German biotech company is developing an apparatus for dentists which can identify and quantify bacteria in oral diseases. The system offers to the dentist the possibility of point of care (POC) diagnosis of periodontal pathogens. It is time-saving and cost-efficient.
The firm now seeks for a partner with whom new applications of the system can be developed

 Presently, the firm works together with a company specialising in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) in an R&D project related to the development of point of care (POC) tests for the dental office. This new system is based on real-time PCR and will allow the rapid (< 1 h) and highly sensitive (< 100 cells) diagnosis of periodontal pathogens directly in the dental office also during the patient's first visit. The advantage of the POC system is evident: the doctors have results of the test available within some minutes and can start with a specific and tailor-made treatment. Patients do not have to visit the surgery for a second time.

Possible diversification of this POC system include, inter alia, rapid and sensitive diagnosis of various viral diseases (e.g. HIV, hepatitis, influenza), hospital infections (e.g. MRSA, Clostridium difficile), and gynaecological infections (e.g. Chlamydia).
