英文原文：A German university has developed a novel touch-sensitive tactile display with corresponding software, enabling blind users to fully interact with graphical user interfaces of computers. The university is looking for industrial or scientific partners to develop further software applications for the tactile display and for further joint R&D regarding the integration and development of tactile user interfaces for software applications. The pin-matrix display drastically increases the amount of information perceivable to blind computer users through both hands. Blind users are enabled to experience spatial structures and graphic symbols as additional information (in comparison to conventional Braille displays which reproduce text-based screen contents line by line only). Objects like text blocks, tables, menus and other elements of the Windows/Office/web browser user interface as well as geometric drawings and diagrams can be fully mapped to the pin-matrix display. As an option, tactile and speech output to better access graphically orientated parts of applications may be combined. User interactions by multi-touch gestures on the touch-sensitive display possible are feasible. As the displays can be assembled modularly different dimensions can be realised.
